Thankfully Hurricane Joaquin made a right turn towards the ocean, but man, are we getting some wicked wind and rain.  It’s the perfect day to lay around in sweats or pjs, read a book, and catch up on the rainy day clicks you’ve missed!  Here are some interesting internet finds for the week:

Malala Yousafzai’s Fight Continues

What Being a Writer Means to Me – wonderful read by fellow blogger ClaireyLove

Father’s Wedding Gesture to Stepfather Tugs at a Million Hearts – as a former wedding photographer, and a compassionate human, this one made me cry

Santa Claus is Running for Council in North Pole – seriously!

5 Ways to Know You Are A Surf Junkie – Aloha, Mr. Hand!

One of my Favorites, Elizabeth Gilbert, and her take on the tragic shooting at Oregon and more…she articulates how I feel

Brene Brown and Elizabeth Gilbert on Big Magic (I finally started reading it and it is so hard to put down…love it)

How to Spend Time Alone in NYC (I had bookmarked this, then Susannah Conway posted the link today too!)

and finally,

Baseball second only to family – A wonderful article about my friend, Roscoe, and his family…Roscoe passed way too soon and made an incredible impact on so many.

Hope you weather today’s weather without any issues! 🙂

Until next time,

Jill
